Welcome to the website of the KIM project!
The KIM project aims to promote Social Inclusion, Active Citizenship and Learning among a target group at high risk of social exclusion: migrants.
Therefore if you or your organization has…
...difficulty in developing projects which foster social inclusion of migrants and their entry into employment
…difficulty in implementing activities aimed at developing learning methodologies and activities useful to assist migrants to achieve key skills at European Levels
then the KIM website will help you with information and knowledge in these fields!
The current economic situation has led most European countries to reduce the amount of public expenditure on social services and assistance. It is necessary therefore that the services which support migrants, increase their efficiency and effectiveness in promoting opportunities for their social and work integration, so that migrants can become more able and active to support themselves in a shorter time. In this way the public expenditure dedicated to these sectors would not be a burden, but an investment in the long run, because it would reduce expenditure on on-going assistance, emergency and crisis situations.
The KIM project is funded by the Lifelong Learning Programme of the European Union.
It started on January 1st, 2013 and lasts until 31st of December 2014.
